The Frankly Moanin' Jazz quartet, now in its 14th year, helps perpetuate the Jazz tradition with performances in local venues and events throughout the area. Founded in 1993, originally as a trio, Frankly Moanin' has evolved through the years, adding and subtracting members…the current group consists of the original trio (Warren Newton on keys, Tim Eslick on Bass and Todd Anderson on Drums), plus John Savage, a local legend on guitar.

Frankly Moanin' specializes in mainstream jazz from the 50's, 60's, 70's and beyond. With a repertoire that includes standards from the swing, bebop and post-bop eras, along with some lesser-known selections that span the history of Jazz, and original tunes written by Warren Newton and John Savage, audiences are sure to hear something new at each performance.
